Meghan Markle has encountered a significant setback with her new podcast, which one expert suggests could “become a red flag”.

The Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 revealed her partnership with podcast network Lemonada in February, and the company has since released the first season of Archetypes.

Meghan was reportedly working on a brand new series, but that has allegedly been delayed until 2025.

This delay arises amid concerns of scheduling clashes with the launch of Meghan’s new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

PR guru Ryan McCormick has suggested this could be complicated for the former Suits actress.

In an interview with The Mirror, he said: “Meghan’s new podcast delay in the wake of all the ‘phoenix rising after Spotify deal collapse’ hype is a PR disaster. According to Podcast Index, there are 4.1 million podcasts in existence today.

“That means at least 4.1 million people (many of whom probably don’t have a comfortable, privileged life like an ex-royal) were able to do what Markle can’t do.

“The fact that her show is apparently being pushed back to 2025 will likely cause interest to plummet and become a red flag.”

Following reports that Lemonada was on edge about their podcast being eclipsed by Meghan’s upcoming Netflix venture, a source disclosed to the Daily Mail: “The relaunch of Meghan’s Archetypes podcast got pushed back to 2025.”

They added that there were concerns over potential scheduling conflicts with the release of their podcast and American Riviera Orchard.

Despite this hitch, Meghan is reportedly still crafting her new podcast, with a source mentioning to the news outlet that she has a host of very high-profile guests lined up for the series.

The Express Online has contacted Meghan and Lemonada’s representatives for a comment.

Earlier this year, Meghan unveiled her collaboration with Lemonada through a statement, expressing: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.
